Juvenile Court Drug Court is held on Tuesdays at 3:45 p.m.

Mission Statement

The Carson City Juvenile Drug Court will offer a program to reduce illegal substance abuse and related delinquent behavior among youthful offenders by providing collaboration among community resources.

Eligibility Criteria

Youth fourteen to seventeen years of age, charged with a delinquent offense and who have at least a moderate history of drug/alcohol abuse, abuse or dependency, without a history of serious sex offense, trafficking, or a significant pattern of violence, or have been charged with a serious violent offense, or has a significant pattern of violence.

Description of Program

365 days sober, weekly or bi-weekly meetings, randomized drug testing, school reports, and family reports.

Goals

To reduce use of illegal substances by participants, reduce delinquent offenses of participants, improve school performance, strengthen family systems, and to develop job skills.
