Description: 

The Freeway Multi-Use Pathway begins at the north end on Silver Oak Drive where it meets Alexa Way.  The Pathway continues south across Northgate Drive and leads to Emerson Drive.  From Emerson Drive, take Retail Drive to College Parkway where you will travel east to the next access which goes south to Northridge Drive.  Take Northridge Drive under the freeway to North Lompa Lane, and follow N. Lompa Lane south across E. William St (US Hwy 50).  The Pathway will resume again when North Lompa Lane ends, and it will take you to a location on Airport Road that is just about 600’north of the Linear Ditch Trail!

Description: 

This paved trail is great for hiking, running and walking. It takes along the Linear Ditch from Governor's Field to Moffat Open Space.

This easy paved trail takes you along Hwy 50 East from Arrowhead Dr. to Humboldt Ln.

Description: 

This is an easy, and very popular, 0.9 mile long trail follows a segment of historic V&T RR grade.  It is an official segment of the "Historic V&T Trail". The trail goes from Western Nevada College at Murphey Drive to Ash Canyon Road.

Description: 

The V&T Trail is named after the historic Virginia and Truckee Railroad which operated in this region in the late 1800s and early 1900s. A railroad spur was located near the area. The V&T Trail goes from Hobart Road in the Lakeview area to Race Track Road in South Carson City with varying grades, types of trail, and difficulty. There are sections of the trail located on private property and are not authorized for public use.

6.2 Miles total. (total length does not include private property sections which are not authorized for public use).

Difficulty:

Rated as More Difficult. Grade varies from 4% to 10%. Width varies from 30 inches to 10 feet.

Type of Trail:

Varies from single track dirt sections to paved multi-use sections. 

Description: 

This short trail connects the Jack C. Davis Observatory with the Western Nevada College campus.  Along the way there are 12 sculptures, each displaying information about a different celestial body in our Solar System.

Description: 

This segment of the V&T Trail parallels Bigelow Drive from Snyder to Race Track Road.

Description: 

Fun hike or mountain bike ride through Rose Canyon. Provides access to historic V&T RR grade. 

This trail is the result of a partnership between Carson City and Carson Tahoe Health. Primary funding was through the Carson City Quality of Life Initiative. An easement was generously donated by the Northern Nevada Children's Home in memory of Art Hannafin who was an avid hiker and advocate for Carson City.  This trail would not have been completed with the help of: Volunteers, The Green House Project. Nevada Department of Transportation and Muscle Powered.

Please respect wildlife, water, private property and the hard work of our volunteer builders by remaining on the trail. Dogs must be on leash within 1/4 of a mile of the greenhouse and equestrian use in not allowed.

Easy trail around Fulstone Wetlands located North of the Boys and Girls Club. Trail connects to the Freeway Multi-Use pathway.

Easy loop trail.

Description: 

Hike up to the top of Lone Mountain located on the North end of Lone Mountain Cemetery. Enjoy unique views of C-Hill and the tops of historic down town Carson City. This out-and-back trail starts at the Lone Mountain Trailhead located on the corner of Northridge Drive and New Ridge Drive.

Description: 

4 Miles of easy trails through the Long Ranch residential area.

Description: 

Spanning from Hells Bells Road to Lepire Drive, this multi-use trail includes interesting geology, a bridge across Eagle Creek, and views of the historical Mexican Ditch Flume.

Description: 

This short interpretive trail from the Moffat Open Space parking area on Lepire Drive includes interesting geology and a giant artistic sundial.

Description: 

This concrete pathway runs along Northridge Drive through the Northridge residential neighborhood. It contains beautiful landscaping and connects Blackwell's Pond Park to Lone Mountain Cemetery.
